Complete Guide to Thank You Cards
As you're raising financial partnership for missions, you'll find yourself sending a lot of thank you cards. Oh, yeah- definitely DO send real thank you cards! It's a personal touch to honor the person and show gratitude for their time and investment. Not many people send handwritten thank yous these days, so it really stands out.
When should you send a thank you card?
After a meeting
After a confirmed special gift
After a confirmed new monthly gift (this is when I also send a small gift - find tips on my supply list)
After they invite you to an event
After they host a group for you
Any other time that feels right
What should it include?
An emphasis on the relationship, not the gift (try not to mention the gift in the first sentence!)
The encouragement their generosity is to you
The impact their gift will have
Restatement of partnership

That realization became the birthplace of this resource. There's no need for thank you cards to feel overly complicated or difficult. A familiar pattern and a few key phrases up your sleeve can make it flow easily. If you struggle to turn "thanks for the gift" into a heartfelt paragraph, or you just want to make sure you're expressing yourself as graciously as possible--this is for you!
